Academic excellence and curiosity form the foundation for the all-round development of students. Innovative pedagogy is adopted to spark student’s curiosity and build their understanding. In addition to a solid theoretical understanding of the Sciences, students are also exposed to the practical applications of these concepts, as well as the real-world developments related to their fields of study.
Academic excellence without values is like a tree without shade. Thus, to ensure that students have a strong foundation of values, they are regularly taken through interactive classes and workshops to inculcate values such as integrity, empathy, leadership, responsibility, goal-setting, passion and honesty.
Additionally, they are given opportunities to practice these values in their daily life through sports, group study, assemblies, and other activities.
Life skills ensure that students are prepared to take on the world as competent, efficient, and confident individuals. To ensure the same for students of Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth, the college works in association with a leading professional skills training partner (Maa Foundation) to create year-wise skill maps for them. Special trips and exposure visits are organized to local industries to acquaint students to understand work culture and orient them to nature of opportunities available for them. Vapi and Valsad have a large number of industries and students frequently visit large plants and corporates.
Students have visited corporates like Vapi Green Enviro Limited (VGEL) and Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP). They have also visited the Centre of Excellence (COE), Vapi. Students are required to prepare visit reports to deliberate and share their learnings from these visits.
Students have successfully completed internships at various companies including Swati Spentose Private Limited, Pidilite Industries Limited, Inject Care, Parenteral Private Limited, and Megafine Pharma Limited.
These internships are extremely rigorous, and many students share that the experience is very enriching and eye-opening for them!
Moreover, Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth is the only college in the region to have a dedicated Placement Cell which plays a crucial role of identifying job opportunities for students in reputable industries based on their interests and preferred locations.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) provides a perfect opportunity for students to work with communities for their betterment. As part of the NSS, students have organised and participated in multiple literacy campaigns, promoted education of the female child, felicitated soldiers of India’s defense forces, and organised campaigns for the Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan.
To ensure holistic development of students’ personalities, an array of cultural activities are hosted such as the Saptadhara programme, consisting of seven avenues – knowledge, creative expression, fine arts, theatre, music and dance, exercise and sports, and social service. The college also hosts an Annual Day and regularly celebrates several others events like Guru Purnima, Republic Day, Independence Day, and Teacher’s Day.
The college offers training in various sports such as athletics, volleyball, kabaddi and cricket, and participates in district and state-level tournaments like ‘Khel Mahakumbh’. The annual Sports Day is held for students to compete in indoor games and outdoor games. Additionally, students undergo regular medical check-ups, attend sessions on health and hygiene, and are given awareness on prevalent diseases and how to prevent them.
Yoga enhances the stability of mind and body. Regular practice of yoga is woven into life at Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth through weekly yoga sessions. Students also celebrate the “International Yoga Day” on 21st June through prayer, pranayama, meditation, and asana practice.
Students are encouraged to collaborate and imbibe leadership skills by being part of the Student Council and other committees. These groups work to represent the ideas, interests, and concerns of students as well as organise celebrations and community events.
Morning assemblies give students an opportunity to share personal experiences, new research, developments in the field of science, or even social issues amongst their peers. They help in improving student confidence and communication skills, while providing a platform to share views and collaborate.

The industrial visit showed me what kind of work is done in the industries, what elements one should take care of when working at a company. We interacted with people from various departments as well. I learnt and understood a lot of new things through the industrial visit organised by the college.
I participated in the Internship organised by Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth. And in all honesty, I think every student should do an internship. It provides industrial experience.
These three years at SRV have proven to be life-changing for me…
I have seen skills like communication, management, decision-making, and leadership bloom in me through these years.

At Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth we have many other activites like yoga, sports and saptadhara along with academic study. We often get to participate in seminars, conferences and competitions held at the university and other colleges. A state level seminar was organized where our team received the award of Best Poster Presentation. Apart from this, I will always remember the NSS activities and the life shaping experiences of the NSS Camp.
